An IT services business sells three things at once: expertise, time and uptime. Most of them track all three in different places. The sales pipeline sits in one tool, the delivery backlog in another, client requests arrive in a shared mailbox, and timesheets live in a spreadsheet that only gets reconciled at month-end. For a managed service provider running twenty retainers, or an integrator delivering three fixed-price projects in parallel, that split is not merely untidy — it is precisely how scope creep goes unnoticed and margin quietly disappears.

Bitrix24 aims squarely at that problem. Its IT solutions page names the segments it is built for — software development companies, cybersecurity companies, SaaS businesses, cloud service providers, IT consulting and web development companies, and managed service providers — and the proposition is that sales, delivery, time tracking and client communication share one workspace instead of four. Here is what that actually consists of, taken from Bitrix24’s own product pages.

From backlog to delivery, on one board

Bitrix24 provides Gantt charts, Kanban boards and Scrum tools, so a delivery manager can track task dependencies, monitor sprints and see a roadmap update in real time rather than rebuilding it for every status call. Tasks, files, conversations and project milestones sit in the same workspace, which is the part that matters most: the reason a deadline moved is stored next to the deadline itself.

Access permissions and team roles are defined per project, so a client-facing consultant and a backend engineer do not need the same view. External users can be brought into a project without being handed the rest of the workspace. Dependencies in the Gantt chart let deadlines be adjusted without manually walking the chain, sprints and deadlines are managed in Scrum projects, and tasks and checklists can be generated with AI instead of being typed out longhand after a kickoff call.

Billable hours you can actually defend

Time is the inventory of an IT services firm, and Bitrix24 treats it as a first-class object rather than an afterthought. The platform includes built-in work time tracking: employees clock in and clock out, daily work reports capture what was done, and managers get visibility into time spent on specific tasks and projects. Notifications flag schedule violations, and absences are managed in the same place so a delivery plan is not quietly built on someone who is on leave.

The reporting side closes the loop. Project performance can be analysed to find where workflows stall, time spent on tasks feeds efficiency analysis, response time across client communication channels is measurable, and client feedback can be collected through CRM forms. For an MSP, that is the difference between a retainer that looks profitable on the quote and one that is profitable in fact.

Client communication in one queue, not five inboxes

Bitrix24’s Contact Center brings calls, chats and client requests into a single workspace, so a support question raised on WhatsApp and a change request raised by email do not end up on different desks with different answers. Common inquiries can be automated with canned responses and chatbots, project updates, reminders and follow-ups go out by email, client meetings and follow-ups are planned in shared calendars, and the mobile app keeps engineers reachable when they are on a client site rather than at a desk.

For client-side collaboration there is Collabs — described by Bitrix24 as a secure space where external clients can be invited to work on specific tasks without being given access to the entire internal database. That distinction is the whole point for an IT firm: clients want visibility into their project, not into everyone else’s.

Specs, runbooks and a version history that survives

Technical documentation is where a lot of service businesses lose time. Bitrix24 lets documents be created and edited online — from project drafts to release presentations — with colleagues collaborating on the same file simultaneously. Visual boards can be used to build roadmaps and organise projects, public links share key project files with clients without an email attachment chain, and previous document versions can be restored so a technical spec or a set of release notes is never permanently overwritten. An internal knowledge base handles the other half of the problem: training new engineers and keeping support answers consistent.

AI inside the workspace: CoPilot and MCP

Two distinct AI capabilities are worth separating. The first is built in: AI tools summarise discussions and meeting outcomes, and tasks and checklists can be created instantly with AI.

The second is more interesting for a technical audience. Bitrix24 now runs an MCP — Model Context Protocol — server, which gives external AI tools such as ChatGPT and Manus AI a structured, permission-controlled way to act inside the workspace rather than merely describing it. In Tasks, an external AI can create tasks, change statuses, set assignees and update names, descriptions and deadlines. In CRM, it can find a specific deal, show pipeline stages and analyse lost and won amounts. Bitrix24 describes setup as no-code — enabled in settings under MCP Servers — with permission-based control, and says the design is intended to extend across Drive, Company Structure, Calendar and Messenger.

There is also an MCP Dev Server aimed at teams building on the platform. It helps an AI assistant understand how Bitrix24 is structured and behaves, use the REST API correctly and generate code with fewer errors. For an IT company that builds client integrations for a living, that is development time saved, not just a workspace convenience.

Integrations and the rest of your stack

No IT company replaces its whole toolchain, and Bitrix24 does not ask it to. The platform lists more than 500 integrations plus a REST API, covering SMS, chat and call services for client communication, ERP and accounting systems to centralise financial and operational workflows, payment systems to cut manual invoicing work, and custom integrations built by Bitrix24 partners for requirements the catalogue does not cover.

“We chose Bitrix24 because it has a very simple pricing structure.” — Sam Eng Sun, Group CTO, GHL Systems Berhad, quoted on Bitrix24’s IT solutions page.

Bitrix24 states the platform is used by 15 million businesses worldwide. That scale is worth reading in the right way for an IT buyer: it means a large integration catalogue, a mature REST API and a wide partner network — not that the default configuration will suit a specific practice out of the box.

Where a partner comes in

Everything above is capability, not configuration. The gap between the two is where most IT services implementations succeed or stall. A managed service provider needs retainer hours mapped to the right projects before time tracking means anything; a systems integrator needs delivery pipelines that match how it actually scopes and invoices work; and both need permissions set so clients see their own project and nothing else. Bitrix24 itself makes the point on the same page, listing quick implementation, employee training, plan selection and tailored customisation as the reasons to work with a partner.

That is the work we do. B24 Biz Solutions is an official Bitrix24 partner based in Dubai, and we configure delivery boards, time tracking and billing structures, Contact Center routing, client-facing Collabs, MCP and REST API integrations, and reporting for IT services companies and managed service providers across the UAE, the Middle East and South Asia. The platform is capable. Making it fit the way your team already delivers is the part worth getting right.
